June, in Italy, is also the month which marks the end of the school year and the cultural offer is full of events planned even during the evenings of the week. It is the most important and famous Italian art exhibition, one of the oldest and prestigious art events in the world, the Biennale Arte in Venice is a place to go every year for those who love all the kind of arts: cinema, art, architecture, dance, theater and more. The 60th International Art Exhibition in 2024 is curated by Adriano Pedrosa while the main theme for this Biennale edition is "Foreigners Everywhere". The Biennale is expected to see the participation of 88 Countries, with 4 more States for the first time (Ethiopia, Tanzania, Benin and East Timor), and 3 Countries which debut with their own pavilion. Hosted in historic Pavilions at the Giardini Napoleonici, in the Arsenale and in Venice's city centre, the Biennale Arte 2024 is scheduled from the 20th of April 2024 until the 24th of November 2024. 

As every year, the summer season of Rome Opera Theatre comes back in the wonderful stage of Caracalla Baths, the archaeological site located in the city center of Rome. This year, the Caracalla Festival 2024 includes not only classic ballet performances and opera lyrical poems, with the debut - as creative and set designer - of the archistar Massimiliano Fuksas, but also jazz and pop concerts, movie shows and contemporary circus performances. Many of the concerts, opera and movies scheduled for the 2024 edition of Caracalla Festival are focused on the musics of Giacomo Puccini, in order to celebrate the Italian composer on the occasion of the centenary of his death. Caracalla Festival 2024 is scheduled from the 3rd of June 2024 until the 10th of August 2024.

The wonderful location of Palazzo Ducale in Genoa hosts, for the first time in Italy, the solo exhibition Aqua Mater by Sebastiao Salgado, one of the most important and famous photographers of the 20th century. The theme of the exhibition is the water in all of its natural shapes with more than 40 pictures made by the Brazilian artist in every corner of the world: Brasil. Russia, Alaska, India, Namibia, Antarctica and many more. The black and white pictures, printed in big sizes, are accompanied by phonographs reproducing the different sounds of water in nature. Aqua Mater Sebastiao Salgado is scheduled from the 22nd of March 2024 until the 14th of July 2024.  

Renowned as the most beautiful vintage car race in the world, 1000 Miglia is a competition firstly inaugurated in 1927 which has became, after almost a century of history, a symbol of excellence of the Made in Italy in the world. Every year, athletes and enthusiasts of vintage cars take part to the 1000 Miglia race which, with its route, gives the unique opportunity to pass through many famous towns as well as hidden gems of Italy. The great start traditionally kicks off in Brescia - the city of Lombardy where the race was born a century ago and where the race also finished after 5 days of competition. The route can change over the years, but not the passing through the streets of Rome with the parade of vintage car in via Veneto. 1000 Miglia race is scheduled from the 11th of June until the 15th of June 2024.

The biggest Italian island, the stunning Sicily hosts the most important open-air solo exhibition dedicated to Igor Mitoraj, the Polish sculptor famous for his giant masterpieces made up of metal and stone celebrating the main characters of classic art. The look - Humanitas Physis is a great project with 30 monumental works from Mitoraj production shown in 3 different outdoor locations: the archaeological area of Neapolis in Siracusa, the regional natural park of volcano Etna, and Ortigia island in the old city center of Siracusa. The look - Humanitas Physis by Igor Mitoraj is scheduled from the 26th of March 2024 until the 31st of October 2024.

It is one of the most important music festival of the Italian summer and one of the most renowned in Europe: since 1988, the Lucca Summer Festival has annually hosted the most important singers and music bands from all over the world. In the beautiful city center of the medieval city of Lucca in Tuscany, international pop and rock stars play their best music in live concerts which are always sold out. In the 2024 edition, it is expected the presence on the stage of Eric Clapton, Ed Sheeran, The Smashing Pumpkins, Rod Steward, Lenny Kravitz, Duran Duran and many more international and Italian singers. Lucca Summer Festival 2024 is scheduled from the 2nd of June 2024 until the 26th of July 2024.

In the amazing location of the Aragonese castle in the wonderful small island of Ischia, the Ischia Film Festival is annually organised in order to celebrate independent movies deemed to promote the territory and the cultural identity through the movie storytelling. The 22 preceding editions of the Ischia Film Festival have seen the participation of international cinema stars and directors such as Oliver Stone, John Turturro, Claudia Cardinale and many more. The program for this 2024 edition includes meeting and film screenings in some of the most suggestive locations of Ischia such as the terrace of Olive trees, the Cathedral of Assumption and the Bourbon Prison Square. The Ischia Film Festival 2024 is scheduled from the 29th of June 2024 until the 6th of July 2024.
