The locations that we can discover are perfect for our unforgettable trip because they will allow us to explore the history and timeless traditions of Alto Adige.

We can visit Castel Schenna, a symbolic medieval castle, dating back to the 14th century - which houses a Museum, which tells the history of the region with historical finds, armor and works of art. The visit will offer us a dive into the life of the nobles of the time and a wonderful view of the valley.

The Parish Church of Scena is a masterpiece of Gothic art. Next to it is the neo-Gothic Mausoleum of John of Austria, son of Emperor Franz Joseph, which represents one of the most significant places to understand the imperial history.

For hiking lovers, we can walk along the Panoramic Trail of Scena. This route offers a unique naturalistic experience. The trail is suitable for all ages and will allow us to explore breathtaking landscapes among vineyards and woods; this trail is perfect for a relaxing walk.

How to reach Scena

How to reach Scena

Scena is well connected and easily reachable both by car and public transport.

By car, for those arriving from the north, we recommend the Brenner Autobahn (A22) to the Bolzano Sud exit. From here, continue on the MEBO highway to Merano, then follow the signs for Scena. From the south, the same highway connects Scena with the main Italian cities.

For those who want to reach Scena by train, the closest train station is Merano, served by regional train connections from Bolzano and Trento.

From Merano, local buses and shuttles take you directly to Scena in a few minutes.

The closest airports are Bolzano, Innsbruck and Verona. From here, you can rent a car or take public transport to Merano and then continue to Scena.

Scena, the jewel of South Tyrol

Scena offers us a wide variety of activities for all ages and preferences.

In the summer, we can explore the hiking trails that cross pastures and forests, or take part in guided mountain bike tours, discovering new views of the region. We can try climbing or paragliding, admiring the Alps from a unique perspective.
